First "thank God you're home." and Second "we're FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE." My poor gals have been in the coop (with a run attached) for two days while I put in two 12 hours shifts. I let them out this morning and they ar so happy to be free-ranging. My gals like to be out all day, even though they have a hugs coop and huge run. Spoiled silly girls. Oh, and since it reained so much yesterday, they got an extra treat of worms all over the ground! Hopefully that'll make up for two days in chicken jail.

I was at book club last night so I slept a little later than usual this morning. When I went out the girls were all gathered at the run door waiting to be set free to roam for the day. I was definately aware of some hostility and "well, it took you long enough" comments!

I've started wearing my black leather clogs to the coop instead of my flip flops and my lead hen Cleo said,"I don't like those big black clodhoppers in my run-I peck them-eeek they're after me! I jump on them and scratch them! BAWK! Put me down! How dare you Madam! Oh the humiliation, ohhh that feels good. Ah warm oatmeal and yougurt ahh. brrrrk
