The next few are of a 70' bed I dug out and planted this Spring. Please excuse the landscape fabric peeking through. I wasn't finished mulching when I took these.

This is the end of that 70' bed. There are a few roses in there agains the fence, and I planted 2 icebox watermellons in there which have taken over.

I moved in last Summer. There was NO landscaping other than a few holly bushes and a beautiful southern magnolia out back and some crepe myrtles. Yeah, I love gardening.

Thanks.

Kla37, I learned a lesson this spring. My body can't keep up with me anymore, lol.

It took me a few weekends to dig that bed out, then till it, then tilled in the 20 feed bags of goat manure I hauled home in my car, along with miracle grow garden soil before planting. The reason I dug it out was because it was all weeds and I didnt want to just till the seeds under and have it a mess in 6 months. The weather was brutal, so I only got a handful of squash and cucumbers out of it. I interplanted my veggies with my flowers. The 16 roma tomato plants suffered too. Now we're super high in the humidity and getting daily rains and the tomato plants are on the ground and the fruit rots before I can pick it.

Next year, it's all going to be heat loving flowers!!! I'll let the real farmers grow the crops and when they open the you pick fields, I'll be there.
