Illinois...

@Faraday40 I'm glad you watched Jasp and Phee, I dont think they would have survived had I left them.
You're very welcome. DD has truly been enjoying them. You can take your time collecting them, because I know she'll be a little sad to see them go. Phoenix is a great little layer. Her serama sisters are laying now too. With all those cute tiny eggs, it's almost like having my quail back! LOL

My hatch is not exactly going great... once turkey hatched and died minutes later. Another turkey hatched with no feet - just one nail protruding from each ankle. It is still alive, but I imagine is not going to make it too long.
A chicken hatched and is in the brooder with the footless turkey. There are several other pipped eggs and one currently zipping. Most of the action is with the chicken eggs though. These turkeys better come on.

Glad to see they have feet :wee
They DO have feet.... and all 8 little toes.

(These are the 2 from the Cooler-bator.)

The Brinsea & Cooler-bator hatches are all done. The Incu-view has a few unpipped eggs, but most are out. The Hovabator had a few chicks hatch yesterday, so I think it's just running late. No pips yet for their turkey egg. (Today is day 28 & day 22 for chicks)

My backyard is flooded. My front yard is flooded. My weeds.... I mean garden ... is flooded. The coop & run are also flooded. Poor chickens are walking & standing in water. It's sand, so it "should" drain quickly and turn into wet sand.

At the moment I'm thankful that our house is not flooded. I'm very thankful for continuous electricity & a working sump pump!

never thought I would be so glad to see poult feet :ya

visible water in the poultry yard is gone, but squishes up when I walk
bottom area is going to be flooded for a week
some water in the coops, but for having dirt floors they are pretty dry

My phone is having problems and won't let me view all of my photos because I need to update. I spent several hours deleting stuff off it yesterday to try and have enough space to update but to no avail.

I will post photos of the chick that hatched a couple years ago with only one leg when I can if you all still want to see.
