Didn't turn out to be a lovely afternoon? But a nice reward after all that rain we got.
Unfortunately it was too nice. My daughter and I decided to take a walk. Completely forgetting that the flowerless chocolate cake was sitting on the counter. Whoops not anymore, the dog ate it. Now at the vet, sitting in the car in the parking lot

Sad news. I found Banshee today. Apparently she had made a nest somewhere in the barn and hunkered down where I couldnt find her. But something did find her this morning. I went to get shavings and found pieces everywhere including a broken egg. There was nothing left but a leg, the wings and feathers. Poor girl. I should have searched more in the barn as i knew she had been laying eggs in there.

So sorry about the loss of Banshee and her nest.

All is good, it was a remarkably quick trip. They were able to give him strong enough meds to have him eliminate the cake and we were out of there!

Our dog Kepler eats all sorts of things he should not. The vet taught us the trick of Vaseline sandwiches to cushion and lubricate.

I also seen on Dr. Pol that pouring peroxide down a dog's throat will get them to regurgitate safely.

If anyone outside the US reads this in horror, know that 'hydrogen peroxide' in the US means a 1.5% (sometimes 3%) solution.
