I just pulled a BRreder (can we make that a thing? Where you have so much to do but have to add one more thing to your list of things to do).
Found out this morning that a trio of 18 wk cochins were available just north of Indianapolis and talked a friend of mine who is traveling through there this morning to meet up and pick up the chicks. That meant I had three hours to build a hoop coop in my garage in order to house them. They're very beautiful and look happy and healthy so far! We'll have to start working on the next phase, which is where to house them (I plan on keeping them separate from the main flock, at least for a while)

I have a pair of ducks that visit my feeder daily for dinner. Always assumed they were Mallards, but maybe they are Ruens like yours. They do fly off very well though. So I'm wondering which are they,,, possibly runaway Ruens, or Mallards

likely mallards. my rouens don't fly. they did fly a little when they were just a few months old, but then lost the ability as they fattened. now they are lucky to use their wings to assist with hopping up a step.
