Interesting read for you. (It took me a while to find the article again) I often put my chicks into the run (inside a rabbit cage or walled off corner + a mama heating pad - or actual broody hen) when they are 1-2 weeks old.

If I am not keeping the chicks, I raise them in the garage until sold. This is for biosecurity so I do not have visitors walking around the chicken area.
Yep. That's me. If you want to hatch, I have plenty of little "useless chicken" eggs (aka seramas) for you.Craigslist is so funny. I have an alert for hatching eggs and faraday's chicks are in most alerts they send![]()

Shame 2020 issues made it so couldn't have the big Thanksgiving.Happy / Sad Day! I sold my 2 extra turkeys.
Orig, I was planning to bring all 3 to our big family Thanksgiving celebration, but with Covid, we're just staying home. We'll still eat "Thanksgiving', but "Christmas" and "Giblets" will live nearby at their new home. They grew up with chickens, so I think they'll feel right at home in their new place. I also made sure the wings were still trimmed.

LolMy hubby (typical computer guy) plays video games, is into e-sports, and watches Twitch. One of the stations on Twitch that he recently found is based on chickens. (He always says the chickens are "my thing" but since he never complains about chicken math, it works for us.)
Anyway, I heard chicken noises coming from his office this morning. In the background, he literally had a Twitch channel on of chickens walking around. Apparently it was feeding time and the live stream showed a cute silkie getting some treats. He really liked how the streamer automated the whole chicken set up. There are several motion activated cameras around the run and feeding stations. When you subscribe or pay money, you can feed them a little treat, which you can watch on your computer.
Great for the brilliant person who found a way to feed his/her flock for free or maybe even make a profit using poultry. Of course I told DH that he could simply look out the back window if he wanted to see chickens walking around, scratching and being fed. LOL
That sounds VERY INTERESTING. If there is a way to channel the funds to my account,When you subscribe or pay money, you can feed them a little treat, which you can watch on your computer.
