Check out these combs. I can't believe the babies are already a little over 17 weeks. My Leghorn was laying at 16 weeks and the Mystic Marans not long after. Not that I expect much this time of year, but they have little baby combs!!!

They're still babies and it's still so stupid dark out. But those little combs just popped out of nowhere and have given me some hope that some day I can stop buying eggs at the grocery. LOL!!!

One of my OEGH went to the Rainbow bridge yesterday. No trauma. or injury. They are in their winter housing, so not weather related ether.
Just a peaceful exit.,,, She was 6 years old.
Now my flock is down to 7 hens.
