Buckeyes are nice birds. Are they from a hatchery or breeder?

Ha sounds like you need some hens lolWhat do you mean by "home"![]()
My CX hatch on Monday. I was thinking about it but will likely have my hands full. Maybe a month or 2.Ha sounds like you need some hens lol
If you want any meat mutt eggs your welcome to some too. I'm not getting too many clean eggs and I haven't been checking if fertilizer though
Yes. I have one that currently has turkey, quail, Orpingtons, and serama chicks. A very happy, yet a bit confused little Serama Mama.Mine are just pet quality. They are actually my daughters. Insane how broody they are. All three of my hens have set twice so far. One about to for a third time.

Was just thinking if @SnootyHen wanted to increase her experience and raise some meat burds I would process them for her.
I didn't do anything for my broody. She knew what to do and did everything herself. Just make sure she can get food and water when she chooses and leave her alone. Is Millie has to spend another day in broody jail, I may take you up on that! She's making us all crazy!! I leave for vacation on Tuesday and my house sitter is probably not cut out for broody duty. Ugh!!!!! She wants a farm so I guess we'll see how well she can handle this part of it.
Perhaps this is the year for you!All this broody mess. I've not had a broody chicken in 4 years. I've had ducks go broody though, but never successfully hatch their eggs.
