After several weeks wondering what has been slick and picking off my chickens I caught a raccoon family....ugh. They obviously know about traps.

Have not captured any yet but I'm going to plan "B". Two of my girls are seriously injured. I can't believe they are still alive. I've been using saline to flush wounds, amoxicillin, and triple a antibiotic. They are eating and drinking with my help. I hope I'm on the right track here???? I keep them rapped in clean towels. The only thing I havent done is give them something for pain. Is there something they can take or is that even necessary? I have Tramadol left over from my dog. The wounds are deep and large. Pls I need advice somebody.

I'm on ten acres and I'm bating them. Never had a problem for two years. They definitely know what a trap is so im thinking somebody trapped them and dropped them off in my area.
