I'm bout fed up with ebay buyers!! Update... It just gets better!

oh, I can tell you some real doooozies about ebay egg buyers, LOL, and ebay egg sellers, I have some pictures of some eggs I shipped through USPS, that looked like someone used my package as a football, but let me tell you I INSURE them now, and on per say 12 ole cheap duck eggs say the Pekin, I insure them for $150 for $1.75 and if any of my buyers have a problem they are told in my ebay auctions that they are insured up to x amount of days and what is required and after filing over $1,000 worth of paid postal claims on Cheap duck eggs, the postal service has now, after seeing my packaging secure teqniques, putting my egg shipments into a mail carrier crate all to there selves at the original shipping point until the delivery address when they come out of the postal tote/crate. I spent hundreds and I do mean hundreds of dollars on failed eggs, but I didn't leave not one negative to a seller. But then I learned my lesson, and went and found the ducks and chickens I wanted and bought them as babies and just started raising my own, and saved thousands by leaving ebay eggs alone.

Now I don't want to even sell eggs on ebay. Geesh. Horror stories. So no matter how good you pack your going to get negs. No thanks I will stick with me quilts. This is very upsetting.

and what about the buyers. i have bought from byc and ebay and have received MUTTS. i waited 21 plus days, paid good money promptly, only to watch them hatch and be major disappointed. so just don't blame the po, maybe between byc and ebay, sellers need to clean up their act also. jmho.

My husband told me the reason they started 'holding funds' is because there was some guy making a fortune off of illegal activity of some sort but the US couldn't touch him because he was in another country, so Ebay 'froze' his account because it was the only recourse the U.S. had. He was reportedly a real slimeball-- wanted for molestation or rape or something.

i bought some hatching eggs on ebay
eight bbs orpingtons from north carolina
they're in lockdown
they didn't arrive when they were supposed to
in fact eggs shipped on the same day that went
to california as opposed to vermont arrived two days earlier

i received ten eggs

two of the eggs were were really quite small
another two were porous

but i definitely saw signs of development in some eggs

i'm a newbie, so i know i can't have gotten everything right

and my fingers are crossed about how many chicks will make it

that being said, although i checked in with the seller
about the delay in shipping

i haven't considered giving negative feedback
in fact i already gave positive feedback

and i'm looking at some other bbs orpington eggs
on ebay right now, only from new york

If it is your first negative feedback ever and to talk to someone by phone thay will take away the feedback, if you explain yourself well. i have never sold eggs but have had a simillar situation happen. As long as you wrote in your description clearly what effects fertility or that they are buying at they're own risk you have a chance of it being removed!

I have been through the thing on ebay- both buying and selling- getting threats of negative feedback if i dont send more eggs beacuse a1 or 2 cracked.- My hatch rates from ebay are lousy- But what I cant get is that my shipped eggs are hatching for everyone else- We have had 80%- 100% hatch rates reported on ebay and bYC.- I wish mine was that good or even half that...ll the eggs I buy from ebay either have bloodrings or arent fertile- My best hatch rate from shipped egg s is 40%

Indeed, ebay has been ruined years ago by a bunch of arrogant, greedy and antibusiness individuals.

I hope some new company will emerge filling the void and killing this pathetic passe overblown dinosaur.
I used to extensively sell on ebay years ago making decent living out of it before they slammed and screwed sellers many times over and over again.

I am suprised the feds never busted Ebays as*ses for many violations of antithrust law. (Ebay controls you what you can sell, how to pay for it - Paypal cause they own it etc). They should never be allowed to buy paypal creating a monopoly controlling the whole process of buying AND PAYING for it. They even try to tell you where you can not sell - no it is not Cuba.

I hope I see the day when they go down in flames. Ebay is widely hated by most of current and former sellers. There is no other company in US which deserves it more.

Wow, I hate buying eggs off eBay. I also won't pay t much if i do. I mean you gamble with shipped eggs. I have seen first hand how the mail people mistreat packages. I have had many shipped eggs do nothing. Including eggs I have bought here. I had entire batch of silkie eggs do nothing. Not one even started to develop, and yet eggs that were not shipped were in at the same time as the shipped eggs hatched fine. I knew it was not sellers fault , but post office. I just recently bought eggs off eBay. Seller told me they were pure , all the info pointed to pure. He assured me they were pure. But once they came , umm yea they are not pure. But not worth a fight becaus he knows more then me and wont listen. Some people are just a p.i.t.a no matter how hard you try to please.

I don't work for the PO, but most of my family does/did for 20+ years. The stories I could repeat about what happens to boxes shipped through the PO marked "fragile"....and it isn't always postal employees....Most of the interpost office mail is handled/trucked by independant contractors that bid on the run....they don't get any extra money for being gentle and there is NO ONE watching what they do or how they do it.

My favorite "fragile" story was told to me by my brother. He witnessed two men (independant contractors) using a box marked "fragile" as a football. They threw it back and forth between each other running down the loading dock and one of them missed the catch and the box fell off the loading dock onto the pavement below. Needless to say it "rattled" after that. Imagine if that were the eggs you are shipping....

My suggestion, with everything I know about PO mail handlers : INSURE YOUR PACKAGE Then if it arrives broken/damaged/air cells bubbling or broken, you can get your money back. Of course the seller will have to get the money back and have pictures of the damage, but none of that is insurmountable....not having insurance IS.
