Yep - i already BUILT the other coop - it's sitting out there empty until I can finish my netting over the top of the fenced off area.

Then I'll move my ladies out to the larger coop (they are really outgrowing the ChickNBarn/Pen and daypen).

Then, if we have a successful hatch

the new chicks wil move into the ChickNBarn.

Didn't he GET that when I built the new coop?? There is NO way you can just leave a nice ChickNBarn empty!

When I mention getting more chickens, My DH rolls his eyes or says 'oh my god'.
But I've caught him looking at MY chickens, talking to MY chickens, and telling MY chickens how pretty they are.
I've assured him that it's OK to admit he likes them just as much as I do and even tho he's a man, he's really just a big softy at heart!!
I'm planning on getting a couple silkie/X hens within the next few weeks, and of course DH isn't aware of it at the moment.
He'll find out about them when he comes in from work and sees them.

Yes i agree with all the DH advice here, ive also caught mine talking to the chooks, just tell him "it really makes me happy" and a happy woman is better fun for them!!
