Well let me get out my crystal ball..... Really come on now, do you really think we're mind readers? What kid of coop are you looking to build? Whats your budget, whats the weather like in your area. Are you free ranging, tractoring, or building a run for your chooks? Seriously, get over the entitlement issues, be nice, and specific and the wonderful BYC'ers are always glad to help. ;0)

i won't bash you. I am not much on designing runs, but maybe I can help you ask the questions you need so the people who are more construction knwledgeable can help. Tell us about your weather in your area. Snow, wind, heat, rain, what is the temperature outside right now?

also now that I think about it, I hadnt a clue how to do framing and all that but I googled it and found pretty good instruction but I cant remember the site.

So THAT's what you wanted! See, it is usually helpful to have a little knowledge of what you want.

I don't think you'll be able to design a coop in just one night, but I'll help best I can. What is it that you need to know exactly?
Here's some tips:
1) A shed works great as a coop and is relatively simple.
2) A poultry tractor is also good and easy to make, but not great if you're somewhere cold.
3) Lowes has great playhouses with ventilation and everything,
4) If you want to build it yourself, craigslist, freecycle, and Habitat for Humanity are great places to get materials.
5) No one's trying to bash you. Stay cool, OK?

your best bet, and Im assuming you have just the 6 silkies (I know I got that from somewhere) but find a old dog kennel and a dog house put ya some tarps over it and waalaaa!!! a precious lil home for 6 lil silkies.. its seems you want something and want it now and thats the fastest..then do some research and decide for sure what you want and how you want it to look and I'm sure someone on here could help you with the plans.

Oh look! Yet another junior chicken owner joins our ranks!
