I'm either a concerned chicken owner or an idiot!

Hi,

I am a new chicken owner and own only three chickens that are 4 months old. They are my pride and joy, but I recently noticed bare spots on what I would call the temple of one of the chickens on each side. I have another one that is the same breed and she doesn't have the same bare place, so I was wondering if this indicated a problem or was normal? I may be overreacting. Just want to be sure.

yeah i have a white leghorn who has the same bare spot, but it has kind of a greenish tint. i dont know what they are either. sorry
