I'm getting the itch. Anyone want to hatch some eggs?

Haha! I do all these. I'm obsessed. I just hit hour 73 and candled. So exciting to see those little veins forming.
I have Crested, Delaware, Easter Eggers, Norweigan Jaerhorn, Egyptian Fayoumis, speckled Sussex, frizzles, black tail white Japanese, Seabrights, icelandic, barred partridge and golden laced cochin and one really dark one I can't recall the name. I ordered 24 for 1.00 an egg and asked for the largest assortment in breeds. I'm very happy!

Reading that link makes me want to candle. I promised myself I would wait 7 days this time since it drives me so crazy trying to id the clears and early quitters at the beginning. Must. Resist. Opening. Bator.

Ill make it more torturous on you lol. I was doing my morning rotation and couldn't resist a peak, again. I'm at 84 hours and saw a little heartbeat in the egg I candled. Made my day!

Thanks! So exciting! I hatch eggs in my classroom every year, but this is the first time I am doing it at home just for us! I lOVE Bantams...what kind of Bantams did you get?

I have bantam orpingtons. 1 rooster and 2 hens that are black. I have 1 precious little chocolate orpington bantam hen. So I could get some pure blood Orpingtons. But I also have a bunch of other roosters in there with them. My last bantam chick that hatched has a little poof on her head so I'm guessing 1 of my Polish boys was involved in that one.

My large eggs are from mt RIR hens. Again, its anyone's guess who fertilized them. I have 2 Polish roos, 1 EE roo, 1 white leghorn, & 1 leghorn mix. We'll see.

Surprise babies! The chocolate colored are really pretty too! My girl is black...eggs I am getting are blue so we will see. So excited!!!! They shipped today
