I'm giving up on this whole rooster thing.

Moochie had the food and his chickens wanted it. It's not much different than if a hen had a treat and another one wanted it, the other hen will chase the hen with a treat.
If you can remove Charlie's spurs I would do so. The first time I had a rooster I didn't want to get rid of him either, even though he would bite, spur and claw at me. I got sick at the idea of killing any of my birds. But the more he continued to do all that, and eventually drawing blood from me, I was ready to give him up. Luckily for me some man was wanting a protective rooster for his flock, so I didn't have to put him in the freezer(even though now I wish I would have ate him).
If Charlie was my rooster, he would have dissapeared the second time he went for me. If you have no choice but keeping him for now, I hope you work it out with this roo. Good luck with him.

But my chickens are so awesome and cool. They're different. They're not scaredy cats like other chickens, today there was this lady at the house across the street, inspecting it I guess, and the hens went over to the fence and peeked through the holes. The girls are really friendly towards people. I even have Daphne jumping onto my back and I get to walk around with her on my back! One of the many things I love about their wacky ways. They are like dogs, personality wise. I know that they probably only do some of that stuff because they know I feed them but that doesn't matter. My mom even says to my dad all the time "honey they aren't chickens. they're dogs!", with much enthusiasm. It's also really cute when they play peck with Bruno's tail, he's our chicken puppy.
My mom really thought about it and she wants to do it the hot potato way. She's a bit uncertain about the pliers because she believes it will hurt him. I don't know, I think he would be more scared about it, he doesn't like people messing with his feet.
I am not confusing him to death. Charlie just needs to get used to my way of living and the chicken's way of living. I did stop him from mating successfully for once. He went on one of the cochins and I grabbed his neck feathers and chased him away. I always see him do that to the other roos so I copied. It worked with no flogging!
My dad told me just to stop being afraid and to carry a flyswatter with me outside.

My chickens do like food. But my 5 hens are different. I can feel it. The rest of the hens like to be petted and fall asleep in your lap and preen. It's nice.
The cochins though are like fraidy cat chickens. I try to pet them and they run away making noises.
Even when I don't have food my 5 girls like to chill around me, or on me in the case of roosting on my lap

My roo is a rip snort, too alright. If I ease around,

he usually does. But if I move too fast; here he comes with that neck a bristling. His spurs are down right pointed and lethal looking. I'm planning to take some wire pliers and snip the ends off or a metal file if that doesn't work. I'm afraid my neighbor who checks on them when I'm working will get hit.
Last year, she got hit by one of her roos and her leg swelled up! Took her to ER. She took antibiotics for a week and got ok. I've been hit a few times. It hurts!!

Moochie if your chickens love being around you that's great! That means you're doing a good job with them and they feel comfortable with you. Have lot's of fun with them, glad to hear you enjoy them so much.
