Like to know when young chix should go off the medicated chick food and on to the crumbles. I have 16 week old red production hens (6 of them) and recently introduced a younger group of Americana's (5 of them) to the backyard together. Not sure how old the young ones are, Just starting to show red on face and building a comb.
I take pics of the birds with my iphone many days. Would love to be able to have an ID photo for each bird and access the application while I'm out with the birds.

I will say this - the BYC servers are very reliable, I wouldn't worry too much about this if you choose to use a web based version. Plus the data is all safely backed up, so should there be a problem, all would be restored.
A web version is by far the best way to go. Easier to upgrade, easier to program for a handful of browsers vs. 3,000 different PC environment combinations, easier to support, easier to backup etc. Also, to reiterate Reinbeau's comment: I'll guarantee that we backup BYC more regularly and more robustly than every single PC that every single BYC member uses. You'd be much better off / safer having your data here than on your PC.
Regarding an offline version: I bet most of you could count on one hand how many times you've come to BYC over the years and it wasn't available. As time progresses everyone everywhere will have access to the internet (at home, on a phone, or at the library / coffee shop). I'd rather see development time go into better features on a web version than to see the the time go into duplicating the whole system for an offline version. In my experience most peeps, when given the choice between more features vs. adding a duplicate offline would also choose the former.
Thanks to everyone that have completed the survey so far!
