To clarify: Not only do we want a robust system so upgrades don't impact existing data, but we also want a system that doesn't require double entry of data. For example, if your tracking eggs per hen and you give that hen a name & ID, you shouldn't have to enter that hen's name in a different part of the system if you want to track that hen for breeding. The same info should flow throughout the entire system.
