I must say that this has been such an entertaining thread! I have been accused of all things said...I do not have chickens yet, but have in the past. I did order some eggs from MPC that should arrive any day. So as to the addiction...I went to an estate sale and was given a bird cage for free. So I had it empty outside for a few months. Thinking if it is meant to be a bird will come. Then HA! I woke up to my dog going nuts and I discovered a young sparrow had come inside the house. So then my bird craze started! I of course caught the bird and released it. Then I got 2 beautiful parakeets for the cage. Then...2 zebra finches, then 2 button Quail, then 2 society finches(which just hatched a new baby), then 6 more parakeets and 4 young zebra finches! I am crazy! I think? But I do enjoy them so much. And they don't require a bra, lol!
That's awesome!!! And no bra required is always a plus!

I got an EGG! Finally! One little stinkin egg! Its so cute and now I love my girls, see that was all I needed to love them again! LOL

It's beautiful and perfect! Oh man, how exciting. I'm so jealous!!!

24 weeks today and no egg! Still waiting (hopefully not as long as you, lol)

I want to take pictures so bad but my Boyfriend usually has the phone all day and when he gets home it's already dark I want to take a pic of the new baby finch so I can make sure it is striving. I can't believe how tiny it is. The parents are so great, they will not leave that nest unattended...5 more eggs to hatch!
Plus I looked in on my buttons today. I could stare I only saw 1 egg. Now there are 7! I just hope she sticks with it. I might have to try moving them to a different area of the house?

Maybe it'll work out that he'll be home during the day and you can snap some pics....
Congratulations on the new littles. I'm not a about needing to move them or not. But no doubt someone here will be able to help you decide. ;)
