This reminds me of my lone incubated hatch chick Eve. She is 24 days old and huge. She is quite homely with her very long legs, huge wings and long neck. My folks keep saying she looks like a dinosaur. I use fake dinosaur eggs in the nest boxes (plastic eggs with tiny dino's in it) I tell her she's pretty, but she isn't. She is the lone offspring of Cocoa the (chicken soup EE) and barred rock mom. Poor thing -- I just woke her up to take pics.

I think EE roosters are probably fine if you only have one rooster, maybe 2 if they each have a large flock of hens to themselves. Mine were absolutely sweet for a while after they got hormonal, but the longer they went without getting any girlie favors, the more freaky they got. My other roo simply would not let them comingle with the girls, but in the rare instance they did they would be sweet again. Eve is the result of a rare sneak attack lol.
