That would be nice. And you'd def know what eggs were hers. I love the velociraptor stage! How cute that they're in the house. Do you give them free reign or are they confined to the tiled floor?
Oh wow.. yeah, I'm seeing 4 possible boys there (not that I'm an expert)... my leghorn had a big comb early on too. What are you going to do w/ the boys? Freezer?
No, I have a brooder and a cage that they stay in most of the time. I do let them out to run around 3 times a day. Mostly in the living room on the carpet, but trying to get them on the old linoleum in the kitchen more. The older they get the more time they would like to spend running around. I just tucked them in for the night as they were getting sleepy, but soon as I covered them they start screaming. lol
I'm not positive, but I am somewhat sure that I have 6 boys. Most, if not all will go to freezer camp. I will probably let a couple hang around until they start causing trouble. One of them is such a sweet talker. He sits on me and just cheep, cheep cheeps away.
I might try that with food coloring if I need to. Fenced off most of the chip pile today and let everyone run around. It was nice in the 40's today.
The babies are looking a bit moth eaten right now as they feather in.
That really is sad about the neighbor boy. Why on earth these unfit people keep bringing kids into the world that they don't take care of. Is there a father in the picture?
I made another sign!View attachment 1210074
That sign is really pretty -- love it!
