I'm pregnant! (8 months along now, no longer morning sick!)

Demetri Benjamin! Although my father just told me I'm spelling it wrong and it should be Dimitri or Dmitri. I don't understand why because he named my sister Demetra but I guess the boy's name is spelled differently. He got kicked offline before I could ask.

I already have my little girl, now I want my little boy... I know slim chance for me, but I still want to try... Slim chance because I have PCOS.

Congrats on your little boy, and watch the time with him, cause it goes by SO fast. My DD Chloe will be 1 on the 26th.

I've decided I want to use cloth diapers, but since this is my first baby, I have absolutely no idea how this works. The options are mind-boggling, and expensive. I know overall I will still save money, but I'm embarrassed to put such expensive stuff on my registry. Can anyone help me out by telling me a bit about your experience? My questions are:

What type of cloth diaper system did you use? All in ones, or the build-them-yourself diapers? What's best? (I know that last one will be a matter of personal preference, so go ahead and tell me your preference).

What brands did you prefer?

How many should I put on the registry?

Thanks!

I used cloth diapers wth all five of my kids. I bought the gerber brand and just rinsed in the toilet water flushed and had a mixture of bleach and water in the diaper pail to let them soak untill evening and washed in hot water in the washer. I would either line dry or put in dryer. I washed twice a day. It worked and saved alot of dollars.

What about covers? Did you have a favorite brand or type? How many covers and inserts should I buy? Did you have problems with leaks or blowouts? Some people say the Gerber ones are too thin to work well.
