I guess im just frustrated and expecting way to much out of these poor ladies. My last flock that I had for over two years were all sex links laid on average for 14- 20 days straight then took a break for a day or two then right back to being laying machines again ! I had so many eggs from 8 ladies that I used to supply my mom and grandma with eggs everyweek ! My ladies were killed by a pack of wild dogs about 5 months ago and I bought these ladies mostly because I felt sorry for them I guess. I just cringe though every time I have to buy old store bought eggs.
