Let me put it this way. DH's mother had the living room furniture we are using recovered in 1972 because it was worn out. The kitchen table consists of a top from his great grandparents place, the legs are from a set his grandparents had and the chairs are from a set his parents had. I won't even tell you about the bedroom set.
Grits - advertise it as Shabby Chic and you can probably sell it for a fortune!!

I told DH that when we get the new stuff we could take the couch to the free store, a store a little north of here where everything is free for those in need. He says we can't take it there because they don't have room for it in the store and it may sit out in the rain (if it ever rains here again). I'm like, so??????
New couch, two new matching recliners, new bedstead and memory foam mattress, new computer for DH (I got a new one last month) and a new monitor for my puter (it didn't come with one).
Yep, by the time I got finished with DH's debit card it was smokin'!
