If they do hope they eat organ meat. People talk about the vitamin defiencies in veganism but always ignore full carnivore got similar issues if you don't eat the organ meats which most americans don't. Gotten my fair shares of ewwww when I talk about eating heart and tongue.
Duck hearts are delicious!

Since 1988, The Vegan Society defines veganism as follows:

Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals.

When I was young (yeah, long ago) I met some original vegans (they were not angry, self-righteous or preachy) it was explained to me as "cruelty free" and non exploitation.

Raising your hens as pets and eating eggs is in line with this philosophy, so you may not think of yourself as vegan... But you may be more vegan than you realized

Hi there.

This made me chuckle to think about.

I've been around OV (Original Vegans) when I worked for a Yoga retreat way back in my youth, and I think that I know the kind of people you are talking about. :)

And yep, never once was anyone pushy, angry, self-righteous, preachy, or any of the things some people claim Vegans to be.

I've never been shamed for being a meat-eater. Not even once, over the course of over 20 years being around an area FULL of those type of people.

They would if asked talk about why they chose what they did, but it never came up unprompted. It was me being curious about the foods THEY were eating because it was so different from anything I'd grown up around.

They didn't ever make me feel bad about it, but they're choices made me think. It's directly because of them that I went down the road to keeping chickens, and a garden.

I personally think that for the most part it's projection. People feel like they should feel guilty after learning about the practices of the factory farming industry and then project that attitude.

I've never seen anyone just go around to places where people eat meat and criticize them. I can't even imagine it.

Knowing how every Vegan I've ever met has acted that's absurd to the level of being hilarious. Like you'd only ever see it in some kind of fake joke skit on SNL or some other show. Like can you imagine them going into like a Longhorn Steakhouse or something? LOL

Now...my old Aunt, God rest her soul, SHE did have an opinion about what EVERYONE was eating, what they were doing, and such. LOL Had nothing to do with being Vegan or Carnivore, or what have you. Just a well meaning old lady trying to keep you healthy. :)

Have results come back on this? I would love to know where you send feed for analysis. I have used 3 different feed suppliers for the last few years as freight charges fluctuated and when I use one of them, the eggs nearly stop every time (not in winter or weather/light related). I have wondered if their feed is what it's supposed to be.
Honestly, I just googled ag laboratories near me. I've used UC Davis before, but I didn't want to use a govt funded lab. I ended up using MidWest Labs in Nebraska.

Yep! Even if one was sitting on top of a mountain in a vast forest wearing handmade clothes and eating wild berries and leaves, they'd probably be sitting on a bug and cruelly squashing it 🤣
Strict Jains in India wear masks to stop themselves accidentally inhaling and insect, and sweep the ground in front of them so as to not acidentally stand on a bug. Despite all this, I am sure there is living matter hurt in their moving from one splace to another and sitting.

Well why not? They stick their noses into everything else. Who you love, their skin color and gender, whether or not you should be able to marry, so why not what you eat? People are nosey and think they have a right to dictate to everyone else.
Exactly. All of that shouldn‘t matter.
(Not really talking about the skin color bit because of course people should be proud of who they are and it does matter in a way, but it doesn’t matter in a way that makes them any less beautiful.)

Lengua (beef tongue) is a Mexican delicacy. I've not ever tried it (even when I ate meat as a kid), but my husband loves it.
