We had a babysitter who chewed Teaberry. She made the wrappers into a gum wrapper chain, and rolled up it was about 8" in diameter.Teaberry gum
I freaking LOVE real licorice!I am one of the vast minority that actually enjoys licorice flavor.
Ditto on that! And I remember the Blackjack gum.We had a babysitter who chewed Teaberry. She made the wrappers into a gum wrapper chain, and rolled up it was about 8" in diameter.

It wouldn't work if people stopped buying the products when they do this.Except that they have been raising the prices too. Hence the terrible inflation
For most of us it's spread throughout your life but there are some out there that are rather fond of mud pies.
My personal largest servings usually involved mud fights with my brother when the spring thaw made snowballs impossible. Mom only had 3 rules: no stones in the mud balls; be sure to hose off and leave our dirty clothes on the back porch before coming inside; and straight into the tub. The loser has wait outside while the winner got to bathe first. Good times.
Yup! It puts a whole new twist on, "Don't drink the Kool-Aid," doesn't it?I have used unsweetened KoolAid to dye protein fibers (wool, mohair, silk). The kettle I used to dye them (enamel on steel) was permanently etched to the level of the dye bath. The commercial dyes I used didn't even do that.
... and another piece of history bites the dust ...guys someone broke the local pay phone. the front is torn off and it's hanging by a bunch of wires![]()
Song of the South is definitely a banned movie. I had a chance to watch some excerpts a while back and Holy Cow, it's easy to see why! If we showed that today, we'd have riots. Some of the scenes actually turned my stomach ... and I LOVED the movie when it came out. Old Walt's bias was full throttle with that one. I'll stick with the "shorts" of Zippity-Doo-Dah and call it done!Song of the South - lovely movie.
We made bracelets & other jewelry from the wrappers. A neighbor had a "fishing hat" made from them and his sister was working on a vest. I've always wondered if she ever finished it ...We had a babysitter who chewed Teaberry. She made the wrappers into a gum wrapper chain, and rolled up it was about 8" in diameter.

And yet, I often think that these shows should be showcased rather than banned, so people who don't know their history don't step in it!Song of the South is definitely a banned movie.
