Same here, but it's more of a clean-up thing. I'm always putting things away in a "safe" place. The problem is that I am the one they're safest from!

I usually do find them again, just after I bought whatever it is again because I couldn't find it.

Rip your DVDs to a high-quality format. Then watch the digital copy.

You can delete it and retype again, but with carbon copy, goodness me the whole thing must be threw out, put in another new paper. That was nightmare.

...and no White-Out, just that nasty type-over ribbon that had to line up juuuuuuust right. Unless you were typing an English paper, it was easier to just start over ... MOST of the time!

I have duplicates of CDs from thrift stores. Either I forget, or Mom got the disc.

So do you realize where whatever it is was located immediately after making a replacement purchase or immediately after walking in the door to your house? I usually realize exactly where it is and why it’s there as I leave the store to head home…..and at that point it becomes to much trouble to go back.

……..interesting how an unnecessary spending of money suddenly opens up all the neuron connections and memory becomes crystal clear and detailed. Perhaps someone should research this phenomenon.
