My Mom and Grandma always kept bacon drippings in a metal can on the counter by the stove. I don't recall any going bad or tasting off.

I still keep bacon drippings but they are in a canning jar in the refrigerator.
Never had any go rancid.

I remember when no one thought about cow farts.
Unless you were standing behind the cow.

What about pigs, goats and other animals? They must too? Have not heard a thing about them.

Dogs and cats...oh my...I know from experience they get "windy" sometimes.

Really glad I am not the scientist tasked to study this!
