I'm so old I Remember when:

I'm so old I remember when there weren't appointments made to see the doc. You just went to his office and got in line.
I'll go ya one better. I remember when the doctor used to come to the house. I also remember the medicinal smell of his office. :sick

how about when they came to the house? I remember doctors coming to the house when I was a young boy and sick.

Some still do. My doctor will see you in her office, your house, a hospital, church - wherever you need her. Appointments are booked by the hour, not 15 minutes. She prays with her patients. She's a CNP and she is awesome. I was incredibly blessed to have found her. ✝️ 🙏

I never leave my seat for snacks! I leave it for bladder breaks! :lau Is why I wait for movies to come out on CDs or, now, Netfix, my GC has an account. No comforts can beat a proximal restroom.

There's a chain of theaters here where you press a button at your seat and server comes and brings you a menu and you can order food and drinks and have them brought to your seat. I don't think they can bring you a toilet, though. 😄

Now that's entertainment! 😆

The longest lived refrigerator I ever had was avocado green. It ended its life as the extra fridge in the barn. I think it was over 40 years old when it started having problems. They don't make them like that any more.
Plastic parts nowadays.

have you ecer had or seen slate records. My grandmother had a collection 33’s that slate. I can’t remember the musical style but it was a set in a green binder.
My mom had swing on those heavy 78s - Benny Goodman, Tommy & Jimmy Dorsey, Glenn Miller....

DO IT! Theaters are modernizing to entice people away from NetFlix and their own comfy armchairs. DD treated me to a movie for Christmas (Moana II - WONDERFUL flick!) and I was shocked at the upgrades. The full-on easy chair recliners - with foot rests -`oversize armrests (no sharing) and a flip-down "side-table" were amazing! Get your popcorn early, 'cause you won't want to leave your seat!
Some places have waiters, you just push a button and they come get your order and bring it to you

I also remember one 78 that was canary yellow and had a collection of cowboy songs on it - the yellow rose of Texas, don't fence me in, git along little doggies. I believe the 78 speed was for records made originally for old phonographs.
