I'm so old I Remember when:

Supposedly I was a brat. Including tantrums for no good reason. We also weren't supposed to talk in church, and 5-year-old me probably did that, or shoved a sibling, or something.
Ummm ... SOME children would entertain themselves by making faces at their little brother so he would get in trouble. Not that I would know anything about THAT ... 😇

You guys were so creative! All I remember about church is sitting quietly, tracing the veins in my mother's hands and wondering if they hurt when I gently mashed on them. She never said a word.

I would pretend my missal (Catholic church book), which had a cover with a holy card pocket, was a smartphone. I think I got in trouble for that.

To make matters worse, I think I was pretending it was a Windows Phone.

I used my missal as a facade so it would look like I was praying when really I was watching one of the altar boys...

I'm so old I remember attending a small town church that had hand fans furnished by a local funeral home as there was no AC. I remember how the older ladies all wore long dresses they called Frocks. I was to young to have a clue as to what was happening at that time and all I wanted to do was go home and play in the orange grove. I sat there watching the second hand going around on the big clock on the wall. I wish I had more old memories of my other set of grand parents.
