I'm so old I Remember when:

I remember the old lawnmowers that had no safety features at all. Grandma had one that you mashed that little flat piece of steel on the spark plug to kill the engine. After hearing the grownups saying just pee on it about something l tried that one day instead of bothering to use the little metal thingy. I only did that once. I well remember what a shock that was. Why does things like this get stored in my mind?
I had to put an electric wire around the dog pen to keep the beagles from digging out. I watched the male hike his leg on it once. As you say, it's the kind of thing you only do once.

Kind of BURNED in your memory.

Not much. They usually ended up naked in the bottom of the toy box. Barbie was a loose woman! 🤭
I remember way back when our two daughters were very young there was a doll advertised as anatomically correct. They didn't get one and by now they know what is what being they are both grandmothers.

Yes, I don't think we need anatomically correct dolls. Most kids have that all figured out sooner or later. Probably sooner than most moms hope! ;)

Especially those who grow up on farms.
Yep!
When we first got chickens my grandson was a little guy. He lived with us and I homeschooled him. I tried to use the chickens as a learning experience for our school work. He loved them! I also tried to time our coop chores to not coincide with my rooster's morning spunkiness. 🫣

DD complained to DW that the roosters were such bullies for making the hens give them 'piggy back rides'. Her response to the explaination was "Yeech!"
(Hold that thought.) 🤫

I tried that piggy back answer the first time he asked. It didn't fly too well.
Later he saw the feathers a bit damaged on a hens back and that little guy was ticked. He told Taz NO!

A few years later when we incubated our first hatch, it all started making sense to him. Life Lessons. 💕

Okay guys; Ginger or Mary Ann?
