The cabin on our deer lease, years ago, had an outhouse. DD was using an outhouse at 2 years old. Never bothered me and we stayed out there for weeks.

I remember the truck coming to clean it out..that's when it bothered me. Stinky.

DD had some of her potty training using that outhouse. I think it helped to see all the grownups and older kids go outside to the "bathroom". You also had to walk through mules who were on vacation from pulling buggies in the French Quarter, to get to the outhouse.
Yes those mules get vacations while others work and then they switch, so every mule gets some down time each year.

Yes, I don't think we need anatomically correct dolls. Most kids have that all figured out sooner or later. Probably sooner than most moms hope!

We used an outhouse until I was 8 years old. Drew water from the well. Took a bath in a
#10 washtub.

We had a big wash tub too. Had a big red pump for well water. I can still taste that water. I loved it.
