I'm so old I Remember when:

@LTAY1946 My husband also has a very clear recollection about President Kennedy being assassinated.
The Sixth Floor Museum in Dallas has an audio recording of my husband telling what he remembers.
I don’t remember how he found out about the Museum wanting people to tell about that day. You need to contact the Museum, I’m sure they will want you to record your memories.
I was 10 years old. We lived three blocks from school. Twin brother and I had gone home for lunch. Soup and sandwich. When we got back to school, the playground was deserted. For a moment I wondered if aliens had abducted everyone. Then we looked in the church , it was a Catholic school. It was full of students, teachers, staff, praying and crying. We asked someone what was going on. The President's been shot, he's fighting for his life ... stunned.

Do you know what she's doing? My handle was Lady Bug. View attachment 3675003
I was the Blue Kangaroo. From the blue Snugli I carried my baby in.

Still alive.

I was in class, remember which seat, in high school, when the principle announced that JFK was shot. We all went to the chapel to pray (also Catholic school) and then when she announced that he was dead, we all went home early. A horrible day! My mom worked at a brokerage, and I think the market closed too.
The first time TV stations ran continuous news, through the funeral, I think. Still very sad, remembering.

I think of that day, that year, as a loss of innocence ... when I first realized the world was not a safe place.
