I'm so old I Remember when:

Now we have weevil poop to go along with rat poop... Where does the poop stop?
I wasn't gonna say anything but guess I should now. I've walked multiple grain elevators multiple times throughout the years. The amount of pigeons, ducks and other birds that fly onto the wheat, corn, soybean and other stuff arriving by and being put into barges at the grain elevators is a real wake up call to what people ingest. After my first time it really bothered me but I accepted the fact of what else can you do. When the barge pulls up to the wharf and they lift the covers off to scoop the grain out here they all come gorging themselves and making room in their bodies for the food at the same time on the grain

Probably good for boosting our immunity!

A pic of one of the elevators. You can see the barges and the ships waiting thier turn to on or off load. You can see where the barge is under the covered area center lower pic on the right side the pic is fuzzy. That's water spraying to keep the dust down while grain is being off loaded

I remember seeing the one in Destrehan while we were crossing the bridge on the way to New Orleans.

We’ve opened the wrapper of granola bars to find various maggots eating the bar. Upon inspection of the wrapper there were no holes that indicated that something ate it’s way in. Our conclusion was that the eggs were present before the granola bar was packaged. Tasty thought, huh?
