Sunday evenings ~ the whole family gathered together in the livingroom for The Wonderful World of Disney (not usually animated) weekly broadcast, with our bowls of popcorn that Dad made in a pan over the stove, and drizzled with real, melted butter

Followed by (preceded by?) Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. Sunday night was also bath night. Mom and Dad were very fair in making sure my brother, sister, and I rotated who went first and who got the colder, dirtier water. But boy did we bathe fast so we didn't miss those two shows.

A group of students from my kids' small rural school in far eastern Oklahoma was set to start a tour at 0900. Fate intervened as one student forgot his camera in his hotel room and went back up to get it. Thus, the school bus was a couple blocks away when the Ryder truck exploded at 0902.
