I'm so old I Remember when:

My dad (b. 1928) went through that. When I started in school he would have none of that for me. When registering me for kindergarten, besides all the health checks, etc, when it came time for teacher and administrator introductions he made it very clear that his youngest was a southpaw and would remain one.
Your dad sounds wonderful 💕

I've eaten a ton of frog legs in my life, love em! I like them battered with hot sauce or ranch. To me the texture is spot on chicken breasts,, taste is light like alligator. To explain to someone yeah itsclose to chicken but it's it's own flavor
I tried frog leg for the first time yesterday, it tasted a lot like chicken

I can remember wanting to go to school for the first day. After that I never wanted to go to school again. The second day I refused to get on the school bus. The bus driver got out of his seat and pulled me by my arm while my mother pushed me from behind. After that I got on the bus without any fuss even though I hated school.
The only times I recall riding in school buses were a) in elementary school the whole school went by bus to the annual Christmas concert and in the spring a drama production at the high school auditorium; b) in junior high we had a field trip to D.C. and Gettysburg followed the next year by a trip to NYC, Cooperstown, and Albany; c) then in high school I was on a couple of sports teams and rode the bus to away meets; and finally d) we rode a school bus to boys club/girls club P.A.L. camp each day for 2 weeks in the summer

I see way more of these than I used to

Those of us who lived in rural areas rode the bus to and from school daily.
