I'm so old I Remember when:

To me possum was like a cross between a fatty pork roast and turkey. Squirrel was like a nutty, earthy, dark meat turkey. And racoon was similar to goat meat, only more greasy and really tender. They all are a bit gamey tasting, probably the possum most of all. But they were all yummy. :drool if you like rabbit, you'd probably like all these too. :)
Thank you, Chrissy! I love goat, lamb and venison so probably would be fine with the wild meats, then.

I have tried frog legs and alligator; both were kinda like fishy-chicken to me, interesting but no desire to repeat. Tried ostrich twice, not much flavor. Emotional attachment would keep me from ever tasting horse meat (not available around here anyway) or dog (still a thing in some Asian countries apparently 😢).

I can't remember if it was McDonald's or Burger King but one of them gave out drinking glasses with cartoon characters like Tom and Jerry and Casper and Wendy on them sometime in the late 60's or early 70's. Nice hang glass , they came in two different sizes, and I've still got about a dozen or so around here.
My mom collected the Christmas glasses when Arby's did that a long time ago. She still has them, I enjoyed a few glasses of wine from one just a few days ago. She has the tulip shaped glasses also

My dad taught us girls all how to shoot, but he said anything "mechanical" other than changing a tire wasn't a woman's job. šŸ™„
When I wanted to choose auto mechanics as an elective in h.s. my mom was the hesitant parent. My dad lured her over by pointing out I might be stuck on a country road with a flat tire or in a snow storm with a dead battery and should not have to wait for help or go to a stranger's house to use their phone in the middle of the night.
