I'm so old I can't figure out what IIRC means. Or a lot of other abbreviations people are using in correspondence.

I see it and I think they are talking about IRC (Internet Relay Chat).

One of the stupidest things I did as a kid was I used to 'brake' on my bike by slipping off the seat and using my knees on the ground. It was all fun and games until I did that wearing shorts!

And then after it had scabbed over, said scab was ripped off accidentally when it caught on the step of the ladder in our above-ground pool.

Can't believe I was so stupid to brake with my knees.

You'd brake your knees too, doing that.

I one time spun around to get dizzy, and then tried riding my bike. I don't think I ever made it any more than a couple wobbles since I was too dizzy to find the bike, get on it, and start riding before the dizzy wore off.
