I'm so old I Remember when:

I remember when ALL stores were closed on Sunday, even gas stations. You had to gas up on Saturday or wait until Monday.
The only public places opened on Sunday were the malls/shopping centers where everyone would do their walking during winter months when it was cold and snowy.
Remember when malls didn’t even exist?

I never got milk at school especially since the only lunches we got at school were the ones we brought from home.
We had to bring our own lunches, but they still had milk brought in: 5 cents for plain, 10 for chocolate. Order and pay first thing in the morning, get your milk at lunch! It was a treat for me to be able to buy a milk, especially since I would only drink the chocolate.❤️

I forgot about the chocolate milk option.

…..or, when schools didn’t close because of snow flurries.
Nowadays, school buses don't run if there's even a *possibility* of inclement weather, but the schools are open or else they don't get funded for that day.
