I remember when massage parlors sprang up in the Kansas City area in the 70's. Daytime broad casting was a mix of some talk and music. Everyday comments were being made about massage parlors. Common sense points to undercover vice squad checking things out. How many got shut down and how many just closed up shop and moved on under the cover of another business I don't know. In the late 60's I was shown a business card for a window and door company that must have had dark curtains and a lot of sound proofing because windows and doors is not what they were selling. This was the late 60's in the Detroit suburbs. One of my co-workers was a card carrying members.
