I'm so old I Remember when:

My mom went to get some VHS discs once when CDs first came out
So she went in the store and saw all the CDs…she’s like what are those things??

I remember when CDs were rather common - now it’s all Apple Music and Spotify and who knows what else.

Our local library used to have audio books with tapes but those seem to have become non existent too.
Everything is going digital now. :hmm

Remember when, if someone talked too much you would say,
"They must have been vaccinated with a phonograph needle."
Yup - both of my parents used that expression! (Not about me, I was a quiet bookworm kid...books and animals were my thing.)

Had to go take a picture of my favorite movie on laser disc...we still have a working player from way back then too. Starting to think that things never going to break. Pity but yep, they never took off.

VHS though we tossed them all years and years ago. Same with cassettes and everything else on tape. They wore out even if you rarely use them.
