I was longeing a 3 yo grey gelding on a 30-foot long line while my then 13-yo daughter rode him to school him when he suddenly planted his front feet and put his head down, the little snit. She did a somersault about 8 or 10 feet in the air and stuck the landing, took my breath away! She looked at me, not sure whether to be scared or not. I threw both arms up in the air and went, "Ta-daaa!" Then she got back on him and rode the attitude out of him.Ok we will go with that
I didn’t a somersault on a few occasions, usually at a fence refusal haha. But once when my horse was sliding down an embankment and stopped dead at the creek at the bottom - I did a complete somersault and landed on my fluffy butt in the creek - who knew horses could laugh
Wow I can’t believe how long ago that was! The things this thread is having me remember
