I'm so old I Remember when:

A little history:
Tecumseh was Shawnee War Chief and a bitter enemy of the European settlers and natives who chose to follow their ways. If he had his wish, the bones of all the whites would have been dug out of the sacred ground. He was a hater.
He also said that when it was time to strike, he would stomp his foot and everyone would feel it, and you would look up and see his fist across the night sky. He had just predicted the 1811 Comet and the New Madrid earthquake.
For a man who fought and died fighting "us" he became one of the most respected names in American history. He was a "True Believer" and fought to the death for what he believed. That is the sprit of all of our people.
I don't know if he actually wrote this poem/prayer that is attributed to him, but here it is.

"So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people.
Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide. Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and grovel to none. When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death,so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.”
In Chilicothe, Ohio, there is an outdoor arena where they do live shows about Tecumseh. They do a great job but they don't allow pictures or video to be taken. I took some anyway and if anyone is interested in seeing some, pm me. I won't put them in public because they don't want that. My pictures aren't the greatest but it was a great show

I was afraid to ask about that one !
The rules and regulations are available for those who want to know all the facts about how much of what can contaminate our foods. Start with you state's Department of Agriculture and then the USDA or your countries equivalent. Nothing is kept secret.

They don't make things like they used to, do they? Seems like appliances are designed to wear out in five years or less, and the cost to repair is higher than the cost to replace. I remember that my mom had an appliance repair man. He kept the refrigerator, stove, washer, dryer, furnace and hot water heater running for years. Buy new, are you crazy? (We had a dishwasher, her name was me, lol).
