My uncle always wore coveralls too. He had insulated ones for winter and really thin ones for when it wasn't so cold.
Another uncle wore overalls but didn't live on a farm or farm.

Bib overalls is what I remember, not coveralls, on the farm.

Coveralls were mechanics.

Insulated Carhart on the farm when the temps were 20° below 0°. Yup. Made for ranchers and farmers.
