Merry Christmas y’all!

Spending mine alone ‘cause I’m throughly sick (with a cold). But church last night was beautiful and I wore my suit I’ve been working on along with a vintage hat I got. And I slept all through the night so I’m happy :).
I got sick last week. I spent a day sitting and doing nothing but scrolling on the PC and got better way faster.

Being we had lots of company today and lots of different foods on the table one of my favorites was sorely missing. Those large plumb green Ford Hook Lima beans. That brought back a memory to 1962. I was just a kid working stocking and carrying out groceries at a mom and pop store then. I could get a whole rotisserie BBQ chicken for 99¢. I bought one and took it home with a 10oz box of frozen Birds Eye Fordhook Lima beans. I though my mom was going to hemorrhage not over the 99¢ chicken but rather the 25¢ box of beans. This year our garden will be heavily planted in several varieties of green Lima beans. By the late 60's the price of a hamper, tall bushel basket, had gone up to $20 at the field already picked. I think if we picked them they were around $10. By the 80's no local farmer were growing them anymore.
