I'm so old I Remember when:

This song reminds me of another from that era, Que Sera, Sera.
Whatever will be, will be.
The future's not ours to see,
Que sera, sera.
The Golden Year! I love those golden year movie, Doris Day sang that Que Sera, Sera song. They dressed so nice in those movies like they are normal wear. I often wonder did people actually wear that to the club or just in the movies?

I don't get why people like this stuff. It's garbage. WHY!?!?!?!?!?!
Boredom?
When we were growing up, my brother used to be on his bicycles to his friends, and vice versa, went to the local swimming pool.e.tc.. what do kids do these days? Are they allow to jump on their bike to their friends? My nephew can not go anywhere without his mother and they glue their eyes on their phone/ipad

YES, I remember it was so nice! I woke up open the door to bring the milk. They came in glass bottle, gold colour lid is heavy cream and silver colour lid is less cream. Those are the lovely quiet, and happy breakfast time. We sat down eat breakfast, my dad read the newspaper also delivered and me collected at the front door with the milk bottles. Breakfast was lovely time not run off the door with toast in hand like now. That is me running off to the bus stop with toast in hand.
If yours were like the ones I remember, and I’m sure they were, the paper caps had a thick paper disk in the center with the dairy logo. I used to play with those when I was a kid…….GOOD TIMES, simpler life.

2 X Good Times simpler life!
If I remember correctly, I think we had aluminum cap on the bottle and it often broke easily in the process of trying to remove it.

Remember how the milk ALWAYS tasted better out of the glass bottle?
Yes, and the trouble I got for that. 😁
My parents were upset and I got an earful.
As an adult, I find it is disgusting someone drink out of the bottle and put it back in the refrigerator for everyone to drink, but that thought did not occur to me when I was young. 😁

Now I don’t remember ever doing that but then again I probably did and just don’t WANT to remember.

I agree, a very worthy project.

You never know what type documents they will be.
Some could be very interesting. Some of the wills I've come across doing my family tree listed relationships and things I never knew about.

Even if they were not related to me they would have still given me a chuckle.
One interesting document I found was a will disinheriting my ancestor. No mention of why, just that he and his descendants were to get nothing. This was early 1800's.

My mother grew up in the 40s. If she went out -- anywhere -- she wore stockings, gloves, a hat, a dress, and heels.
