I remember back in the early 60's when I was in high school phys ed classes that we were supposed to step into the big tray of clorox water before going into the shower after our class time of physical activity. I guess that was to keep our feet from getting smelly fungi disorders...

I don't remember that in school - but I remember it at the public swimming pool we used to go to. It was like a shallow paddling trough that stank of bleach.

I remember my brother in his teenage year, he barely shower and used a lot of cologne.

When he told us he had a girlfriend, we were all wonder how that happened as he was covered in strong smell of cologne.... that is annoying to us all the over powering smell of cologne.

I can still smell the smell of drakkar or california for men in the air of our home during my teen years like it was yesterday

My brother in his teen used a lot of hair gel and hair spray, he stole my hair spray 1 time. He put so much hair spray on his hair that it had this white foam on his hair. He did finally bring a girl home and we all looked at her with wonder....all that over powering smell and the hair gel and spray..? The girl was sweet and looked quite normal, not over done with fragrant or hair stuff.

Those were the good old days, funny and good dear memories.

I am so old I remember fighting with my family to use the phone, you are on the phone forever, get off, it is my turn...Mom....

Then the TV, the person that turn the TV on first gets to pick what to watch.

NOW??? who watch tv anymore..huh..all ipad, tablet, phone....

I stopped using hair spray many moons ago now..not sure how/when that happened.

I'm so old -

I remember frequently visiting my grandparent's fishing lodge on the Gasconade River. Lots of memories there but likely the one that shows how old from as far back as I can remember is their telephone.
It was one of those crank phones with a handheld earpiece and a mouthpiece attached to the box that you speak into. They had to talk to the switchboard operator in the town of Dixon, MO after she responded to the cranking.
The operator manually connected calls by plugging cords into a switchboard.

Polo was the thing for guys when I was in high school and college. Everyone and his brother wore it. I rather liked it. L’Oréal took over the production for Ralph Lauren and I don't think it smells the same as it did originally.
