Hmm. I didn't get shop OR Home Ec at my school. I got either 3 or 4 years of Latin, though, (don't remember) and I can diagram a sentence like nobody's business! (I know ... like who's going to hire me to do that, right? Nobody ever did, tbh! )

We had the choice of Latin, Spanish, French, or German. The kids who took Latin were headed for medical and law careers, which I was not. I wanted to take French but my mom insisted I take Spanish. I have to admit that as a southern Californian, Spanish has been much more useful than French. I have spent more time in Spain than France so it was useful there, too.

I wish I had taken Latin, it would have helped me with Church Latin!

We had Spanish, French, or Latin. And I THINK they later had ASL for the juniors and seniors as like an elective. And possibly German, I can’t remember. But yeah.
