This has made me cry! Novelty and animals shouldn't go together. The work that goes with having an animal should be a given (preaching to the chorion this one), and I guess I get mad at those who think because they find the work it (insert animal) becomes too much, then does not do the proper thing and find a new owner for said animal!


I guess since I research any unknown animal before I get said animal I figure everyone else should too. I hope you get his chickens!

I Really enjoy building coops.

When the weather became bad , I was still wanting to make something,
So , I ended up making myself a California King waterbed with a large bookcase headboard!

I made the Whole thing out of 2x10's and 2x4's I had left over from building coops!

Y'all have probably guessed by my username that I am a woman ,48.. Yes, I'm proud of my age ,lol, who couldn't even build a nestbox, and now I built a 12x20 chicken And duck coop, then a 8x8x6 coop..

They are insulated with Plenty of ventilation .

With the leftover wood from that, I'm building a little 4x4 " Quarentine coop " for IF AND WHEN I can go get his birds before it's too late !

Just to echo a side trip on this thread, I built my first coop when I was 55 years old. I learned a lot from that construction and my second coop was much better.
