I appreciate what you have done for the rest of us.

Best wishes on the chicken rescue. Wish I lived near enough to help and boycott that business!

i would offer to go take his chickens. I really think people who have to "boss aniamls" around have a serious tough guy issue ! really does grabbing your little chicken by the neck make you feel like a big bad tough guy?

My Question exactly!

I'm working as quick as I can to get things situated, but with this Cold and snow to dig thru certain times, it's probably going to

Take me one more day!

Then I Will strongly suggest that he let Me take his ladies and if not..well,

and Don't tell anyone this ,lol, there have been times when

abuses animals ( cats , dogs , turtles ), have been known to

Suddenly " disappear " from these people's yards!!

What's so sad about that would be that the people who's animals

" mysteriously disappeared ", NEVER even mentioned that their abused and neglected

Animals were gone!

Hmmmm, I wonder how easily abused ,chickens could just " disappear?

Still keeping y'all posted.

SO MAD!!!! (ò_ó) I'am that person that judges people on how they treat animals, if they don't like animals, then eventually you find out whats off about them... Your store owner makes me just want to

Wow. What a nasty nasty human being. Good luck getting the coop done, I wish I could come and help you out! I would possibly just 'disappear'' them - I'm worried if you offer to take them if he might become perverse and refuse to give them up. He sounds like a real piece of work. Sorry we can't all descend on him and give him a piece of our mind! He'd be in a corner crying if we could all get at him.

Look after yourself and don't get too tired fixing up the coop. I hope there's someone you can enlist for help with Operation Chicken (ie. stealing in during the dead of night and rescuing those poor hens...)

Dowie,

Shhhhhhh, don't give away how I " make abused animals disappear"...LOL

Seriously , thank you for your concern regarding taking care of myself while getting an " emergency coop " operational for , in your words , " Operation Chicken Rescue "..

I'm doing Ok..this " Disease " or whatever the VA Now wants to call it, tends to Really Hurt during the winter, so all I can do during painful episodes when I have trouble walking and my hands have trouble gripping things, I just grab my crutches and I'm back to work!

I've discovered coop building which I enjoy Very much.

I'm self taught and only use Pictures as my plans so I can tweak it here and there.

So, what I'm starting on, is a small coop , 4x4 or so , and use it as a " Quarantine "
coop.

It shouldn't take me long, probably my mid day tomorrow.

Problem now, is I won't see him until Monday, unless I " snoop " around before then.lol.

We will just have to see.

I was raised with the understanding that if you take on the responsibility of an animal, it is yours for life. I have a massively problematic dog....allergies, noise phobias, escape artist, etc. He has DESTROYED our doors, our cars, and ripped the en tire side wall of our foyer apart. He has anti anxiety drugs, sedatives for fireworks, steroids for allergies etc.... but he is MY dog, and he wiill have a home with me til he dies. (He's 10 now and I've had him since a pup) Goodness knows nobody else would put up with this crap! And no, he cant be crated, either. Tried that and he explosively pooped everywhere an d chewed/ clawed his way out!

Here's the latest damage from when our neighbor was framing his house....noise phobia again!
