Miss Piggy has an impacted Crop. I've separated her. Took away food for about 24 hours. There's apv in her water. I've given her oil, and under advisement from some of your posts coconut oil and very well pureed tomatoes in lieu of tomato juice. I've been massaging her crop ever 2-4 hours during the day for almost 48 hours.
I honestly don't know how long she's been having a problem. She's a piggy and wants to eat. Everything. Her cone and wattle are nice and red and she's pooping some. When do I become seriously concerned?

a warm bath helped with my oldest hen since she’s started to have a hard time digesting her food especially scraps which is all she really eats. you could try a warm soak for about 20-30 minutes and then a massage. a chicken bath would make this super easy if you do have one. if not they’re super useful so i do recommend making one. just a tub with a hole cut in the lid so they can poke their head out.

Well today is day four that we've been treating Miss Piggys impacted crop and shout out (sorry I forgot the name in a different post who recommended it but if you know them please tell them thanks much for me!) for the tomato juice and coconut oil recommendation!! My daughter gave her a really good deep massage this morning while I was cleaning out her enclosure (we think she's been eating the straw the moron!) Miss Piggy is off her feed BUT she's pooping more, and her crop pack is beginning to get noticeably smaller and is breaking up a lot more. She's on home made liquid probiotic diet and liquefied tomato. We've been giving her lots of solid coconut oil (a couple of tbsp per day, possibly overkill but small amounts of veggie oil didn't seem to be getting me anywhere). She definitely has sour crop as well but we're treating that with homemade apv still with mother in it and her probiotic diet. The apv is in her water and last night we syringed with a medicine dropper a stronger mix about 30% apv to 70% water ratio.
So please continue to send good energy/prayers/etc to Miss Piggy we really appreciate all your help!! And if we run into anymore problems I will take the bath under advisement. Thanks again!! 💖 💖 💖

BTW will she always kick herself in the crop? Or is that just because she's impacted? We got her and a dozen of her sisters last fall to add to my aging flock.

How long will it take to break down the lump if she's got straw in her crop? The lump is very fibrous. I think (hope) she has grit in there too. I really need advice it's firm and about the size of a small baseball. It is hanging lower but my hubby is making noises about putting her down. Should I make her throw up? Do I have to do surgery? Has anyone preformed it themselves? Do I just hang in there and keep on doing what I 'm doing?!!?

If the crop is not emptying and you have followed all the steps to have it cleared, then put a bra on her and see if that helps.
